FAQs: Therapy for Therapists

Services rendered in the state of Florida only.

  • I do not accept insurance directly at Therapist Two Therapist, however, I do offer a few options if you would like to use your insurance benefits.

    1. If you’re using out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I’m also committed to collaborating with you to find a fee that feels fair and sustainable for both of us.

    2. If you are seeking an in-network option, I set aside a portion of my availability through a provider platform called Rula for this purpose. I have included a link to my profile below.

*Please note that Rula only bills in-network insurance plans. If your plan is out-of-network, you would still need to pay out of pocket for services provided through their platform—just as you would for my private services.

If you have any reservations about my fee, I encourage us to still meet for a consultation to explore whether there is a way to work together that feels financially manageable and supportive for both of us.

  • I offer a 1-hour consultation together to allow time and space to understand your needs, give you a sense of my approach and style, and provide an opportunity to address any questions we may have for one another. Together, we’ll determine if we’re a good fit before committing to ongoing therapy.

  • Therapists who are seeking to grow, nurture, and care for both the person they are inside the therapy room and outside of it will likely find resonance in this space. It’s designed to help you navigate the parallel processes between your personal and professional selves, recognizing how caring for one deeply supports the other. This is therapy for the person you are and the therapist you are, created to strengthen and support both parts of yourself in ways that matter most.

FAQs: Clinical Supervision

Services rendered in Florida Only.

  • I truly believe supervision is a deeply important part of shaping the therapist you become, and it’s something that deserves careful consideration. Often, therapists may prioritize free supervision, but the quality of that supervision can make all the difference in your growth. Finding a space that offers the right kind of support and challenge can be more difficult than it seems. Sometimes, you may not realize what’s missing until you experience a different kind of space—a space where you feel genuinely held and supported.

Some questions to reflect on as you consider your supervision experience might include:

    • Am I being clinically challenged in a way that feels supportive and growth-oriented?

    • Does the supervision approach and style resonate with me and my needs?

    • Am I being given enough time and space to address cases and clinical concerns?

    • Do I feel safe to be honest about my clinical challenges, struggles, and mistakes?

    • Do I feel connected and supported overall?

    • $80/per session (60min).

If you have any reservations about the fee, I encourage you to reach out for a consultation and we can discuss any questions you may have and see how we can move forward together in a way that feels right for both of us.

  • Our supervision will follow the Florida Administrative Code (FAC) 64B4-2.002 which includes meeting at least every two weeks for 1 hour.

While the FAC defines individual supervision as no more than two (2) interns meeting with a qualified supervisor, I only offer 1-on-1 individual supervision. Through my personal experience and what I’ve heard from other therapists’ experience, sharing the supervision space many times can limit the intimacy, vulnerability, and personalized attention needed to address your unique needs and concerns. This is why I choose to work 1-on-1, though I completely understand and respect the benefits that sharing space with another therapist can offer.

  • I do! I hold group supervision once (1x) a month for therapists who are already working with me individually, in accordance with FL Board regulations and requirements.

(If you’re not seeking group supervision for licensure hours but would like to experience a supportive group setting, you can find more details about group consultations in the next FAQ section below.)

    Per FL Board 64B4-2.002 (4):

    • “If an intern obtains group supervision, each hour of group supervision must alternate with an hour of individual supervision.”

    • “Group supervision must be conducted with all participants present in-person".

    • “Group supervision is defined as one qualified supervisor supervising more than 2 but a maximum of 6 interns in the group.”

The cost of group supervision is: $65/therapist (60min).

  • I offer a 1-hour consultation first to understand where you are in your clinical journey, take time to review our mutual expectations for the supervision space, and go over my supervision contract. This consultation will help us both determine if entering into a supervisor-supervisee relationship feels like the right next step and a good fit for both of us.

    • Initial Consultation: $100 (60min)

If you are interested in scheduling a consultation, you can complete the Contact form or reach out to me directly via phone at (786) 529-1652 or via email at maria@therapisttwotherapist.com to get started.
